FAQ Blasting equipment

Do you have problems with your ECCO Blasting equipment, or are you not satified with the result of your blasting work. Here you can find some of the most common problems and questions which can occur, together with our advices how to solve them. If you don't succeed to solve the problems yourself, you are always very welcome to contacts us with your questions about your ECCO equipment!


The unit is not starting when pulling the trigger on the dead man’s handle.

No air to the unit.


The diaphragm in the air valve is broken or the valve cones are loose in the diaphragm air valve on the side of the blast unit.

The return line from the dead man’s handle is blocked.


The unit is not stopping when releasing the trigger on the dead man’s handle.

The diaphragm in the air valve is broken or the valve cones in he air valve are loose.


The abrasive (“the sand”) doesn’t fall down properly into the abrasive valve!

The compressed air is not completely dry, to much moisture. Make the sure that the compressed air from the compressor is dry.


The remote control doesn’t function, the hose for the remote control signal is blocked.

Disassemble the remote control unit and blow it clean with compressed air.

Final advise for blasting!
Use as little sand as possible for best blasting economy. Too much sand reduces the speed of the particles and by that the efficiency.
