Low pressure

Automotive spraying These paint spraying methods use compressed air to automize the paint. A needle valve is used to make fine adjustments to the paint flow. When spraying, the trigger of the gun controls the needle valve. When the trigger of the gun is pulled, the compressed air is released first, followed by the paint. Once the paint has passed through the paint nozzle and air cap, it is atomized into very tiny droplets. The atomization of the paint is controlled by regulating the flow of air or paint. Fan pattern can be changed from round to flat by using the fan width control on the gun to control the supply of compressed air to the horn of the air cap.

Three basic methods are used to feed paint to the nozzle, Gravity, Pressure and Suction feed which are suitable for different application areas.

Spraying a chairThe ECCO 40 and 60 spray guns use up to 7 bar atomizing air pressure. This method is called conventional spraying. The ECCO 65 series of spray guns have a restrictor built into the gun body, giving an air pressure inside the air cap of 0.7 bar when feeding the gun with 3 bar air pressure at the air inlet. This method is called HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) giving a minimum of over spray, and reduces noise levels. As the transfer efficiency is higher, the HVLP method also applies more paint where it is intended.

The ECCO 70 automatic spray gun, or air atomizer, can be used for either conventional or HVLP spraying by choosing different combinations of fluid nozzles and air caps and by various setting of the air supply. ECCO low pressure spray guns are used for industrial applications where top quality finish, high capacity and durability are essential.

Ecco Low Pressure Spray Guns - for all professional users
The Ecco equipment for conventional air atomizing has been developed by skilled engineers in close co-operation with paint manufacturers and industrial users for more than 70 years. This has resulted in a complete spraying concept where both gun body, air cap, fluid nozzle, paint needle and paint/air control details can be combined in many different ways to achieve a gun which is unique and fulfills the needs of every customer. The Ecco 35/40/65 spray gun is suitable for line work as well as for spot- and panel repair.

Versatile gun for different applications
The Ecco 35/40/65 spray gun can be adapted according to different customer’s needs by various combinations of most components. Fan width control can in addition to adjustable control be lockable, preset, quick- or max/min-adjustable. The gun can be used with or without control on the needle, with different sizes of connection nipples, and with different types and materials for the fluid needle, ie Tungsten Carbide, Plastic or Stainless Steel.

Perfect for metallic paint
The Ecco 40/65 spray gun is equipped with a replaceable strainer inside the fluid nozzle which is filtering the paint just before leaving the gun. The strainer will reduce the risk that any contamination caused by the fluid pipes or hoses will reach the surface. But the largest advantages is that the strainer will homogenize the paint, especially when metallic base coat is applied, and also make it possible to spray metallic paint without having to circulate the paint up to the gun.
